Coolant Dyes
Coolant dyes are mainly used to indicate the status and type of coolant, help identify leaks, and ensure the normal operation of the cooling system.
The following are common coolant dyes and their characteristics:
1. Fluorescent dye
Feature : It emits fluorescence under ultraviolet light, making it easy to detect small leaks.
Application : Commonly used in green, yellow, or pink coolant to help quickly locate leakage points.
Advantages: High sensitivity, suitable for detecting leaks that are difficult to detect.
2. Conventional dyes
Characteristics : Distinguish coolant types by color, common colors include green, red, blue, and orange.
Application : Used to identify coolants with different formulations, such as ethylene glycol or propylene glycol based.
Advantages: The color is intuitive and easy to identify the type of coolant.
