Direct red 28, also known as direct congo red, direct scarlet 4BE, cotton red, direct vermilion, direct scarlet, has good application in pulp dyeing, and the amount is large.

Physicochemical Properties of Direct Red 28:

It is a kind of brown-red powder and become red color with yellowish shade after soluble in water. It is orange color after soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in acetone. When concentrated sulfuric acid, it is dark blue, and when diluted, it is light blue to blue precipitation. After adding concentrated hydrochloric acid in the water solution, it’s blue color with reddish shade.
