1. Acid Golden G, also known as Acid Yellow 36, Acid Soap Yellow and Acid Metanil Yellow G

2. Appearance: yellow powder.

3. Performance: Easily soluble in water, orange-yellow, red when added with hydrochloric acid and precipitation, the color of sodium hydroxide solution does not change, but precipitation occurs after excess. Acid yellow 36 is easily soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene and glycol ether, and slightly soluble in acetone. It is purple in concentrated sulfuric acid, and red precipitates after dilution; blue in concentrated nitric acid, then gradually turns orange. When dyeing, the color is dark green when encountering copper ions; when encountering iron ions, the color is lighter; when encountering chromium ions, the color is slightly changed.

4. Uses: Acid yellow 36 can be used for wool dyeing and direct printing of wool and silk fabrics. It can also be dyed golden yellow with acid light yellow 2G and acid red G. It is mostly used for the coloring of soap, but also for the coloring of paper, leather, paint, cosmetics, and the manufacture of lake pigments. It is also used as an acid-base indicator (pH=1-3).
