The chemical properties of basic green 4 malachite green for paper making: green with glittering crystals.

It is soluble in water, very soluble in ethanol, and both are green.

Basic green 4 is yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid and turns dark orange after dilution; orange in concentrated nitric acid, and orange-brown after dilution; sodium hydroxide is added to the aqueous solution to form a white precipitate with green light. Coloring at high temperature (120°C), the shade will not change.

Color fastness to light on acrylic fiber is grade 4-5.

Uses of basic malachite green: It’s mainly used for the coloring of silk, leather and paper, and it can also be used for the coloring of hemp and the coloring of bamboo, wood, paper and incense.
