Basic Liquid Dyes Used for Kraft Paper Dyeing

The application of basic liquid dyes in kraft paper dyeing mainly involves the following aspects:

1. Dye characteristics:
-Basic dyes are dyes that can directly dissociate in aqueous solutions to form cations or react with acids to form salts to form cations. They typically have amino basic groups, which make them easily soluble in water and have extremely strong coloring power.

-Basic dyes have bright colors, but they have poor light and heat resistance, and weak resistance to acid, alkali, and chloride ions, making the finished product prone to fading.

2. Dyeing process:
-Basic dyes can dye white or light colored kraft paper into various colors under certain concentrations and pH conditions, and have aesthetic and good stability.
-During the dyeing process, it is important to note that hard water and alkaline water should not be used to dissolve alkaline dyes, otherwise color spots may occur. Usually, the pH value can be adjusted to 4.5-6.5 by adding 1% dilute acetic acid, and dissolved at 60-70 ℃ before use.

3. Application technology:
-Basic dyes have a high affinity for lignin, making them easy to dye pulp with high lignin content, such as unbleached pulp and mechanical pulp. When dyeing mixed pulp, especially bleached pulp and unbleached or mechanical pulp, attention should be paid to the uniformity of dyeing.
-Basic dyes should be added after the adhesive and aluminum sulfate to ensure uniformity and effectiveness of dyeing.

4. Dyeing effect:

-Kraft paper dyed with basic liquid dyes not only has bright colors, but also has good stability and aesthetics.
-The dyed kraft paper can be further processed and treated as needed, such as printing, coating, etc.
