Sulphur dyes are dyes that are dissolved in Sodium sulfide and are mainly used for dyeing cotton fibers. They can also be used for cotton/vitamin blend fabrics. With advantages of low cost and good fastness, sulphur dyes are more and more used for textile industry. Our factory main sulphur dyes are  sulphur black br, sulphur red 14, sulphur green 14, sulphur blue 7, sulphur yellow 2, sulphur blue 15, sulphur red 6 etc.

Sulphur dyes are insoluble in water and require the use of sodium sulfide or other reducing agents during dyeing to reduce the dye to a soluble chromophore. It has an affinity for fibers and dyes them, then after oxidation and color development, it returns to its insoluble state and solidifies on the fibers. So sulfur dyes are also a type of vat dye. Sulphur dyes can be used for dyeing fibers such as cotton, linen, and viscose. Their manufacturing process is relatively simple, and their cost is low. They can dye single colors or mix colors, with good sun resistance and poor wear resistance.
