Disperse dyes for sublimation ink making

Disperse Dyes are a synthetic dye mainly used for dyeing non water-soluble fibers, such as polyester fibers. Unlike conventional dyes, dispersed dyes are not dissolved in water during the dyeing process, but are dispersed in small particle states in the carrier (usually water). Therefore, they are called “dispersed dyes”.

Disperse dyes have excellent color intensity and brightness, and can produce rich and long-lasting color effects. In addition, they also have excellent washing, sun resistance, and friction resistance, making them very suitable for manufacturing textiles that need to withstand frequent washing and daily wear and tear, such as sportswear, outdoor clothing, and furniture decorative fabrics.

In sublimation transfer printing technology, dispersed dyes are also used as the main component of Sublimation Ink. When heated, these dyes can sublimate from the transfer paper and penetrate into the target material, forming a long-lasting and brightly colored image.

It should be noted that since dispersed dyes are only effective on specific non water-soluble fibers, it is necessary to confirm whether the target material is suitable for using this dye before use. In addition, the use of dispersed dyes also requires certain techniques and equipment to ensure the uniformity and durability of dyeing or transfer effects.

Disperse dyes are an efficient and durable dye, particularly suitable for dyeing non water-soluble fibers and thermal sublimation transfer printing technology. Disperse Yellow 114, Disperse Yellow 60, Disperse Blue 359, Disperse Blue 360, and Disperse Brown 27 powders are widely used in thermal transfer printing inks.
