Brilliant blue C.I. Acid blue 9 is a kind of food grade detergent dyes. It has dark blue powder and soluble in water.

After soluble in alcohol, acid blue 9 is in blue color. In case of concentrated sulfuric acid, it is blue-green, and the blue precipitate with dark green light is generated after dilution; In case of concentrated nitric acid, it is dark green solution and then turns into sauce red; In case of 10% sodium hydroxide solution, it is bright blue. The aqueous solution will form blue precipitation after adding concentrated hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide solution is added to form blue precipitation.

Acid blue 9 main purpose:Water-based ink, ink-jet, water-based wood paint manufacturing, suitable for food color matching, sanitary ball coloring, cosmetics, detergents, feed pesticides, fish pond water treatment.
