1. Sulfur black, so sulfur dyes themselves do not have dyeing ability for cotton. However, it has good dyeing properties for cotton by reducing the dye to leucosomes in aqueous solution of Sodium sulfide. The sulfur dye dyeing is carried out in Sodium sulfide solution.

2. Operation of sulfur balck dye chemical material: put the prepared Sodium sulfide into the cylinder and dissolve it in 80 ℃ water for 5-10 minutes, and then into sulphur black and dissolve it in boiling water for 20 minutes. And add soda ash in 1% dosage of sulphur black.

3. Function and dosage of each auxiliary agent:
Sodium sulfide (Na2S): it is a solvent for dissolving sulphur dyes. Its function is to reduce sulfur black into the Leucosome of dyes and has the dyeing ability for cotton. It plays the role of reducing and dissolving sulphur black.
Ratio of Sodium sulfide to sulphur black: 1-5

Soda ash (Na2CO3): soda ash plays a role in improving the reduction stability of dye solution in sulphur black dyeing solution and preventing premature oxidation of dyes. It is also an alkaline agent for oil removal. When dyeing with hard water, it can prevent the calcium and magnesium salts in hard water from affecting the dyeing effect. The general dosage is about 2% of the fabric. Excessive dosage will make the fabric reddish brown.

Sodium sulphate (Na2SO4): the coloring rate of sulphur dyes is low. Adding sodium sulphate to the dye solution is helpful to improve the dyeing rate. Therefore, sodium sulphate plays a role in promoting dyeing.
Degreaser: remove the oil stain on the cloth, improve the penetration effect of the embryonic cloth, and improve the dye uptake and levelness.
Anti wrinkle agent: prevent creases and creases on the cloth surface.
Urea: plays the role of anti embrittlement.
Soft oil: it can soften the cloth and make it feel soft and comfortable.
