Basic auramine O Conc CAS 2465-27-2, also called basic yellow 2, is a kind of Yellow uniform powder basic dyes, soluble in cold water, easily soluble in hot water.

The color is bright yellow after soluble in ethanol, which will decompose into tetramethylbenzophenone when the temperature of its aqueous solution exceeds 70 ℃.

Its aqueous solution is colorless when added with concentrated sulfuric acid and light yellow after dilution.

As a powder dye for making paper pulp, basic auramine O Conc has the advantages of bright color, good solubility, light fastness and high dyeing fastness, so it has been widely used to make wallpaper, colored paper, ink, paint and joss paper.
