Solvent Red 25 CAS 3176-79 is a kind of red powder solvent red dyes. It’s insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, acetone and other organic solvents.

It is blue-green in concentrated sulfuric acid and produces red precipitate after dilution; Insoluble in 10% sulfuric acid;

It is insoluble in concentrated sodium hydroxide solution.

Solvent Red 25, also known as Sudan B, is an azo dye. With the development of science and technology, more and more dyes are applied to various fields, and azo dyes are one of them. According to the number of azo groups, azo dyes can be divided into mono azo dyes, Bi azo dyes and multi azo dyes.

Solvent red 25 can be used in synthetic dyes such as direct dyes, acid dyes, reactive dyes, metal complex dyes, disperse dyes, cationic dyes and polycondensation dyes.

It can also be used in the dyeing and printing of various natural and synthetic fibers, as well as the coloring of fur, plastics, rubber, ceramic products and oils.
