CI acid red 52, also called acid rhodamine b CAS 3520-42-1, is one kind of water soluble acid red dyes.

Acid red 52 is used for the dyeing of wool, silk and nylon and the direct printing of wool and silk fabrics.

It is a bright red with fluorescence and has good levelling properties, but it has poor light fastness and is sensitive to water stains.

It is only suitable for woolen fabrics that do not require high color fastness.

It can be used for dyeing bright red dyed wool products with Acid Light Yellow 2G, and also used for dyeing leather and paper.
