Textile fabric dyes are mostly used for textile industry, such as cotton, nylon, silk etc. With different color dyes, the fabric is dyed into beautiful colors in red, blue, yellow, black, green, orange, purple… However, how much do you know for the fabric dyes?

Textile fabric dyes are colored organic compounds that can make fiber materials obtain color.

But not all colored organic compounds can be used as dyes. As a dye, it generally has four conditions:

1. Chromaticity. That is, it must be able to dye a certain concentration of color (with a certain dyeing improvement rate);

2.The dyeing ability. That is, it has a certain binding force with textile materials, that is, affinity or directness;

3.Solubility. That is, it can be directly dissolved in water or dissolved in water by chemical action;

4.Colour fastness. That is, the color dyed on the textile material has certain durability and is not easy to fade or change color.

Some colored substances are insoluble in water, have no affinity for the fiber, and cannot enter the fiber, but can be mechanically fixed on the fabric by the action of adhesive. This substance is called pigment. Pigment can be made by grinding pigment with dispersant, hygroscopic agent and water. Pigment can also be used for dyeing, but it is not widely used in printing.
