Masterbatches are composed of three basic elements: color masterbatch dyes and pigment, carriers, and additives. The carrier is usually the same resin as the product resin to ensure optimal compatibility. Additives include dispersants, flame retardants, brightening agents, antibacterial agents, etc., used to improve the performance of color masterbatch. Common dispersants include polyethylene low molecular wax, stearic acid salt, etc.
For dyes, solvent dyes are mostly used for dyeing color masterbatch, such as solvent red dyes, solvent blue dyes, solvent yellow dyes and solvent green dyes with bright color and good fastness.
Organic pigments have a wide range of color choices and good dispersibility, but their weather resistance and photostability are relatively weak.
Common organic pigments include:
Phthalocyanine red: widely used due to its bright color and excellent coloring power.
Phthalocyanine blue: It also has excellent color and stability, and is another important organic pigment.
Phthalocyanine green: provides rich green options for products and is widely used in the production of color masterbatch.
Sun resistant bright red: It has good sun resistance and stability, suitable for use in outdoor products.
Inorganic pigments have good weather resistance and photostability, but their color choices are relatively limited. Common inorganic pigments include: chrome red
Chromium yellow, titanium dioxide, carbon black, iron oxide red and iron oxide yellow
