Fluorescent and transparent series solvent dyes can be widely used for coloring various plastics (such as PS, AS, ABS, PC, PMMA, PET, PBT, RPVC, PA, PP, PE, etc.) and decorative materials such as paints, inks, plastic masterbatch, etc. They can also be used for coloring raw materials such as polyester, polypropylene, chlorinated fiber, nylon, etc. This series of dyes can achieve satisfactory transparent color tones during the injection molding or extrusion molding process of transparent thermoplastic coloring, and their light fastness is more prominent. According to the depth of the color, if a certain amount of titanium dioxide is added, a semi transparent or completely opaque color tone can be obtained. By using fluorescent solvent dyes, a particularly bright color can be produced. To prevent the disappearance of fluorescence, the amount of titanium dioxide added should be minimized as much as possible.
Fluorescent and transparent series solvent dyes are only soluble in organic solvents such as aromatics, esters, styrene, methyl methacrylate, etc. They are almost insoluble in water and aqueous solutions containing ethanol and acetic acid. Therefore, there is no problem of color permeation of colored plastic products to water and extremely dilute aqueous solutions. The phenomenon of dye permeation into organic solvents requires prior testing of whether the dyeing effect meets production and technical requirements in each case during the application process.
