Common types of dyes used in polyester dyeing
Polyester is a synthetic fiber with a high melting point and difficulty in dyeing.
Generally, dyes with good hydrophilicity are used, such as acid dyes, disperse dyes, and vat dyes.
1. Acid dyes
Acid dyes are water-soluble organic dyes that have the characteristics of easy dyeing, uniform dyeing, and bright color.
Common polyester acid dyes include Acid Yellow 3G, Acid Red 2B, Acid Blue 5R, etc.
2. Disperse dyes
Disperse dye is also a commonly used dye for polyester dyeing, which can be fully dispersed at high temperatures and form colloidal particles, allowing the dye to be uniformly adsorbed on polyester fibers. Common polyester disperse dyes include Disperse Blue 60, Disperse Black EX-SF, etc.
3. Vat dyes
Vat dyes refer to dyes obtained through reduction reactions, which have characteristics such as heavy color, bright color, and softness.
Commonly used for dark dyeing of polyester, such as black, purple, etc. Common polyester vat dyes include vat red 3B, vat blue 3B, etc.
